Hempstead, NY - As anti-war protests have seen an increasingly aggressive police presence, Sergent Nick Morgan, an Iraq war vet, was trampled by a police horse at a peaceful protest outside the Oct. 15 presidential debate at Hofstra University.
In the fray, 10 members of the Iraq Vets Against the War were imprisoned while protesting McCain’s alleged lack of support for V.A. quality of life programs.
